Printing and Photocopying in the Library Data Commons@Curry

Printing to the Public Printer

There is a printer/copier in the hallway of the 3rd floor of Ruffner Hall outside of  Library Data Commons@Curry (Room 302). When you are using a computer in the Library Data Commons@Curry, any U.Va. Library, or computing lab and you select print, the job is sent to a server which enables you to print out your job using any public printer in the many libraries on Grounds.

You can print in black and white from any computer station in the Library Data Commons@Curry. These operating Instructions are located beside the hallway printer station in Ruffner Hall.

You are also able to print using your personal laptop computer.  To learn how to set up your own laptop to print on a library printer, follow the directions for your operating system:

Note:  Mac users with the  newest operating system, Maverick, should use the instructions for  Mac OS 10.8, Mountain Lion.

Paying for Photocopying

The printer/copier will create both color and black & white copies. Color copies are $0.60 each. Black and white copies are $0.08 per page.  You can enlarge or reduce the copy size and you can do two sided copying. You must have a Cavalier Advantage copy card, or a Cavalier Advantage account associated with your University ID card in order to pay for your copies. You cannot use cash or coins. Operating instructions are located next to the machine.
