    The Office of Sponsored Programs manages the University's many grant-funded fiscal accounts. Available on this page are current federal fringe benefit and F&A (facilities and administration) rates, along with useful guidelines for grant proposals.

The following links are to databases of funding opportunities across the various disciplines.

  • Grant Advisor Plus  
      
    This site includes a monthly update of grant announcements in many subject areas plus backfiles. Library subscription. Please access On Grounds or through UVa Proxy account.
  • Grants.gov  
      
    Grants.gov is the primary source for finding U.S. government grants. NOTE: Only the U.Va. Office of Sponsored Programs is authorized to submit proposals via Grants.gov.
  • SPIN  
      
    Searches a wide range of federal and private funding opportunities. Can sort material by proposal deadlines and sponsor. Free to U.Va. faculty, students, and staff.
  • Foundation Center  
      
    This database features contact information on grantmakers in the U.S. including private foundations, community foundations, grantmaking public charities, and corporate giving programs. Also offers IRS 990 forms of foundations. Free.
  • Economic Research Institute  
      
    Offers copies of IRS Form 990 for non-profit organizations. Free.
  • Federal R & D Project Summaries  
      
    A database of descriptions, awards, and summaries of federally funded research.
