Library Services

  • Accounts You Need at UVA
Set up accounts such as wireless, mobile devices, Box (for storing your documents safely), interlibrary loan, printing and print drivers and more.
  • Interlibrary Loan Service
If none of the U.Va. libraries have the journal or book you need in print or online, use the Library's free Interlibrary Loan Service request form to request it. Register on the site by clicking on the button FIRST TIME USER. Students and faculty in the Curry Off-Grounds program should register by clicking on the "Distance Education/SCPS link. Other students should register using the "Graduate & Undergraduate student" link.

The library will get a PDF copy of the journal article or a book chapter and email it to you. If you request a book, you will be sent an email once it is available for you to pick up from the U.Va. library that you designated as your pickup library. If you are in the off-Grounds program, the book will be mailed to you without charge. You can mail the book back using the enclosed prepaid postage stamp the library provides, or you can drop it off at one of the U.Va. libraries.
  • LEO
LEO provides service to U.Va. faculty members by delivering library material for personal use to departmental offices.
  • Library Hours
UVA has purchased a subscription to which is a online learning company that provides a video library of engaging, top-quality courses taught by recognized experts. These videos can help you acquire many new skills such as Photoshop, SPSS, SAS, R, GIT, GitHub, and more. The videos are rated as to beginner, intermediate, and advanced. You will need to NetBadge to get access.
