When you publish with the Royal Society of Chemistry, their standard licence allows you to make the accepted manuscript of your article freely available after a 12-month embargo period. This is known as the green route to open access. If you want your article made available sooner, other options are below.
The Library has upgraded our package with the Electrochemical Society to ECS Plus so that UVA authors no longer have to pay the $800 charge for making your article Open Access. This includes publishing in either Journal of the Electrochemical Society or ECS Journal of Solid State Science and Technology. During the submission process, be sure to indicate we are an ECS Plus institution so your charges are waived.
