Sherry is the Scholarly Repository Librarian in the Scholarly Repository Services group, part of the Content Stewardship area of the Library.
Sherry contributes to the next generation of UVa's Scholarly Repository. Currently she focuses on research data, but also works on Open Access and ETDs.
As a Scholarly Repository Librarian, Sherry:
- Works across areas (units) to inform and discover stakeholders (inside and outside the Library) on the proposed development of a local Dataverse repository.
- Participates in user design and document user recommendations
- Works closely with UVa developer team on setting up and testing Dataverse
- Creates documentation and/or training for Library staff and users
- Advocates for responsible data stewardship for UVA's Institutional Repository
