Samuel Dickstein was a Democratic Congressional Representative from New York (22-year tenure) and a New York State Supreme Court Justice. He played a key role in establishing the committee that would become the House Committee on Un-American Activities, which he used to attack fascists, including Nazi sympathizers, and suspected communists. In 1999, authors Allen Weinstein and Alexander Vassiliev learned that Soviet files indicate that Dickstein was a paid agent of the NKVD.

Anti-Semitic and racist publications; anti-Semitic and racist newspapers, magazines, flyers, and brochures from the United States, England, and South America, including editions of the PROTOCOLS OF THE ELDERS OF ZION, by Benjamin Wolf Segel, and publications of Gerald L.K. Smith, Father Charles E. Coughlin, Dan Smoot, Oswald Mosley, Citizen's Councils, American Board of Missions to the Jews, and other Christian, Nazi, and fascist material; and anti-racist pamphlets.

This collection of mainly anti-Semitic material was compiled by a Jewish librarian of German descent who infiltrated the pro-Nazi community developing in New York City in the years leading up to World War II.
