The Scholars' Lab, located in 308H Shannon Library, is the home of the UVA Geographic Information Science (GIS) support group.  We support all UVA affiliates in four basic areas of GIS: software, data, consultations, and education.

Spring 2025 GIS Workshop Series

ArcMap Access Ending

ArcGIS Desktop will be removed from Education Program licenses on July 1, 2024. This means we will not longer be able to provide licensing for ArcMap starting July 1st. We strongly suggest all users migrate to ArcGIS Pro as soon as possible. See this announcement for more information.
