Interlibrary Loan ServiceIf none of the UVA libraries have the journal article you need online, use the Library's free
Interlibrary Loan Service request form to request a PDF copy. If the Library does not have a book you need, fill out an interlibrary loan request and the Library will borrow a copy for you. When the Library gets the book, they will email you to pick it up at the UVA Library you choose when you submitted the interlibrary loan request.
Register for an interlibrary loan account by clicking on the button FIRST TIME USER. Students and faculty in the Curry Off-Grounds program should register by clicking on the "Distance Education/SCPS link. Other students should register using the "Graduate & Undergraduate student" link.
The library will get a PDF copy of the journal article or a book chapter and email it to you. If you request a book, you will be sent an email once it is available for you to pick up from the UVA Library that you designated as your pickup library when you registered. If you are in the off-Grounds program, the book will be mailed to you without charge. You can mail the book back using the enclosed prepaid postage stamp the library provides, or you can drop it off at one of the UVA Libraries.
