Getting Help with Research Data
At UVA Library, researchers across disciplines benefit from expert consultation and training in acquiring, collecting, wrangling, analyzing, visualizing, sharing, and preserving research data. Our staff work to advance data science, using data to answer scientific questions, making analysis reproducible, and promoting open data to enable long-term discovery and knowledge.
- Research Data ServicesResearch Data Services helps with data discovery and access, research data management, research software licensing, and StatLab for data analysis, visualization, and computation.
- Scholars' LabThe Scholars' Lab is UVA Library's community lab for the practice of experimental scholarship in all fields, informed by digital humanities, GIS and spatial technologies, and cultural heritage thinking.
Self-led Learning for Data Analysis

Sage Campus supports the teaching and learning of skills and research methods through 280+ hours of structured online learning. The online courses are self-paced and instructor-led, comprising an engaging mix of Sage-quality content, video, interactives, and formative assessments.
