    A: Older standards not available at UVA may be obtained by calling Global Engineering, a private company which provides texts of military standards for a fee, at 1-800-854-7179.

    Information Handling Systems is a commercial publisher and supplier of standards and other technical materials. These can be purchased for a price. Also, many libraries subscribe to IHS products so they may be available there. Please check with Library staff.

    A: Verification of older standards may be in the DoD Index of Specifications and Standards under D 1.76: (Alderman Library, New Stacks, 3rd Floor).

    DTIC provides access to Defense Department technical information and reports. Many are available in full-text on the internet.
