Instructions for using Library Poly systems in group study, conference, or class rooms.

Use Camera, Wall Monitor, Microphone, and Speaker for Videoconferencing (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc...)

Videoconferencing

Use Camera, Wall Monitor, Microphone, and Speaker for Videoconferencing (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc...)

You must connect two wires to your laptop to use the camera, wall monitor, microphone, and speaker for videoconferencing.  If possible, have your laptop charger plugged in.

  1. On the room's touch panel select Device Mode Touch panel with Device Mode highlighted
  2. Plug the room's HDMI cable into your laptop (use the HDMI to USB-C adapter if your laptop lacks an HDMI port) HDMI cable with USB-C adapter
  3. Plug the room's USB-C cable into your laptop (use the USB-C to USB-A adapter if your laptop lacks a USB-C port) USB-C cable with USB-A adapter
  4. Run your laptop's videoconferencing software (e.g. Zoom)
    1. Zoom
      1. Under the Mute (audio) icon select the Poly Studio microphone and Poly Studio speaker
      2. Under the Start Video icon select Poly Studio camera
    2. Non-Zoom videoconferencing software
      1. Select the Poly Studio microphone, speaker, and camera in yoru videoconferencing software
    3. If the camera only shows a black image, verify the lens cover is removed Poly Studio Lens Cover Illustration
  5. Join or conduct your video conference
  6. When finished, unplug the two cables from your laptop
