Zotero

An overview for installing, setting up, and using the bibliographic manager Zotero. Based on guide created by Jason Puckett and licensed by Georgia State University Library at http://research.library.gsu.edu/c.php?g=115275&p=750658

Changing from Zotfile to ZotMoov

Zotfile is no longer being developed and is not compatible with Zotero 7

If you are a Zotfile user, the set up and functionality of ZotMoov is exactly the same as Zotfile. You'll need to download ZotMoov but you can use the same directory you were previously using for Zotfile, and do the same for the Linked Attachment Base Directory. The instructions below will walk you through the process.

ZotMoov should not break any existing links, but, just to be careful, we recommending making a back-up of both your Zotero Library and the cloud storage folder that you'll be using.

Adding ZotMoov to Zotero

We're currently working on updating this documentation for Zotero 7 and, in this case, for ZotMoov.

You may notice that some of the content below shows Zotfile - that's because the set-up process for both are identical so we're reusing content. It won't change the instructions and we're working on updating these demos.

If you have any questions or challenges with setting up ZotMoov for Zotero 7, please feel free to reach out to Ask-A-Librarian
