Searching in Virgo

Searching in Virgo is similar to searching in your favorite search engine.  There are tips and tricks, however, that will help you search more effectively.  If you are interested in learning more about advanced searching, review the content under Advanced Searching within this guide. 

When you log in, you will see a screen similar to the one below:

Let's conduct a basic search for information about ecological protection. By default, Virgo will search for everything containing these keywords. To specify the phrase, place quotation marks around it. Virgo will then only search for results with that exact phrase. You can change your search results by selecting items from the catalog only, articles only, images only, or get help with your search.
